Opening a recently made Ancestral wine for the Embutada Tarragona


L’Embutada pays homage to the past when Tarragona thrived as the wine hub of southern Catalonia. During October and November, it was customary to sample the new wine from local cellars. This proceeding  involved the use of a tin funnel filled with wine, which was then passed around.

L’Embutada revives this tradition during the first week of November. Local winemakers gather in one of Tarragona’s historic squares to offer a taste of the year’s new wine 🍷
