Correfocs are fire runs, the spectacular medieval tradition of the rapresentation of evil that take place in Catalunya on specific festivities. Demons holding pyrotechnics dance at the sound of drums through the streets acompanied by dragons and other fire belching beasts. Revellers, wearing straw hats to protect themselves from the shower of sparks, join in in to the anarchic procession and the cacophony continues until a final momentous display of exploding lights.
